During the summer months keeping the ESC is cool is critical. If the ESC overheats you'll be lucky to only lose some power, but more likely is the power cuts out completely. Hobby Horizon has put out a bulletin informing Turbo Timber Evolution owners to move the ESC into the position as seen in the pictures above which does solve the issue. However, at KIN Additive we like to take things to the next level which is why we've designed NACA style vents that pull cold fresh air into the cowling. Next we created a simple ducting plate that captures cold air from the NACA vents and stock nose hole and redirects it down and across the ESC to keep it cool and, well, ESC'ing.
**When using the Vents and Ducting it is not required to move the ESC**
Keep in mind that the orientation of the NACA vents determine whether air is pull into the cowling or pulled out of the cowling.
